About our Gift Cards & eGift Cards
Nordstrom is pleased to donate 1% of all our Gift Card sales, including amounts added to existing Gift Cards, to qualified nonprofit organizations in the communities we serve. Our annual donation is based on Gift Card sales, including those sold at Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack, Nordstrom.com and authorized retailers, from February 1 through January 31 of the following year. These funds are used to support Nordstrom-directed grants. Additionally, they are used to support the Nordstrom Employee Charitable Match and Volunteer Program.
Where can I buy a Nordstrom Gift Card?
Please visit our Nordstrom Gift Card site to purchase a Nordstrom Gift Card or eGift Card. Gift cards can also be purchased at our Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack stores.
Are there any fees associated with the purchase of a Gift Card?
No, there aren't any fees.
How much is shipping?
For traditional Gift Cards ordered in the U.S., standard shipping is free. If you'd like your Gift Card to arrive sooner, expedited shipping is $10. For Gift Cards ordered in Canada, Express Saver service is used for all cards and is free.
When will I be charged for purchasing a Gift Card?
Your credit card or other payment method will be charged at the time of purchase.
How are traditional Gift Cards delivered and what does the recipient receive?
Traditional Gift Cards are sent inside a gift card holder. The recipient's name, sender's name, a message and the Gift Card amount are printed inside the gift card holder. In the U.S., Gift Cards shipped using standard shipping will usually arrive within 4–7 business days. Expedited shipping is available for an additional fee. In Canada, Gift Cards ship for free via Express Saver service and will usually arrive within 4-7 business days.
How are eGift Cards delivered and what does the recipient receive?
Our eGift Cards can be emailed to the recipient within minutes of your purchase or scheduled for delivery on a specific date you choose. The email sent to the recipient includes a link to receive the eGift Card online. When the recipient opens the link, the eGift Card design you selected will be displayed along with the recipient's name, your personalized message, the eGift Card number, amount and instructions on how to redeem the eGift Card.
How do I know that the recipient actually received the eGift Card I sent them?
You'll receive an email confirming delivery and another notifying you that the eGift Card has been viewed. If the eGift Card is not viewed, you'll receive a message with options for resolving the issue. You may also contact customer service (1.844.639.8924) with the order number you received in your order confirmation email, and we can tell you if the recipient has viewed the eGift Card.
Can I use a Gift Card or eGift Card I purchased in the U.S. (or in U.S. dollars) in Canada?
No, U.S. Gift Cards generally cannot be used at Nordstrom or Nordstrom Rack stores in Canada or on Nordstrom.ca.
Can I use a Gift Card I purchased in Canada (or in Canadian dollars) in the U.S.?
No, Canadian Gift Cards generally cannot be used in Nordstrom or Nordstrom Rack stores in the U.S. In addition, Canadian Gift Cards cannot be used online at Nordstrom.com or Nordstromrack.com.
I live in Canada. Can I purchase a Gift Card or an eGift Card on Nordstrom.com?
Our Canadian customers can only purchase Canadian Gift Cards at Nordstrom stores in Canada and on Nordstrom.ca.
I live in the U.S. Can I purchase a Gift Card or an eGift Card on Nordstrom.ca?
Our U.S. customers can only purchase USD Gift Cards at Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack stores in the U.S. and on Nordstrom.com or Nordstromrack.com.
I noticed that purchases of Nordstrom Gift Cards are powered by CashStar. Is my Gift Card order secure?
All order information is transmitted using the https protocol over a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), utilizing current technology for consumer protection. Behind the scenes, your web browser is sending all order information over SSL, and the purchase process is PCI compliant. What if I lose my eGift Card?
You should treat your eGift Card like cash. If you lose your printed eGift Card, immediately contact customer service at 1.844.639.8924.
The following terms and conditions (the "Terms") apply to the purchase and use of Nordstrom gift cards and eGift cards (collectively, "Gift Cards"). Your purchase and use of the Gift Cards constitute your agreement to follow and be bound by these Terms. Gift Cards are denominated in Canadian dollars and are issued by Nordstrom Canada Retail, Inc.
Redemption & Use
Gift Cards are redeemable at Nordstrom stores in Canada only and online at Nordstrom.ca. Gift Cards are not refundable and may not be applied as payment on a credit account. Gift Cards may not be redeemed for cash except as required by law. Gift Cards are not accepted for international orders placed with Borderfree.

Expiration & Fees
Gift Cards do not expire, and there are no fees associated with them.
Lost, Damaged or Stolen Cards & Fraud
If lost, stolen or damaged, Gift Cards may be replaced for the remaining value if you provide satisfactory proof of purchase. Nordstrom will not be responsible if your Gift Card is used without your permission. If we learn our customers were negatively impacted by an issue with our Gift Card systems, we will work quickly to take care of them. Title to and risk of loss for Gift Cards pass to the purchaser upon sale. Please treat your Gift Card like cash and safeguard it accordingly. Nordstrom and its affiliates reserve the right to refuse to accept Gift Cards that Nordstrom suspects or believes were obtained fraudulently.
Limitation of Liability
GIFT CARDS ARE PROVIDED ON AN 'AS IS' BASIS, AND NORDSTROM DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, WITH RESPECT TO THE GIFT CARDS, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. NORDSTROM AND ITS AFFILIATES AND ITS VENDORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE TO ANY PERSON OR ENTITY FOR ANY DIRECT OR INDIRECT LOSS, DAMAGE (WHETHER ACTUAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, SPECIAL OR OTHERWISE), INJURY, CLAIM OR LIABILITY OF ANY KIND OR CHARACTER WHATSOEVER BASED UPON OR RESULTING FROM THE GIFT CARDS OR USE OF SUCH GIFT CARDS. IN THE EVENT THAT NORDSTROM OR ITS AFFILIATES ARE FOUND LIABLE TO YOU, YOUR SOLE REMEDY WILL BE TO RECOVER ACTUAL AND DIRECT DAMAGES WHICH SHALL NOT EXCEED THE LAST BALANCE HELD ON YOUR GIFT CARD. CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF THE FOREGOING PARAGRAPH MAY NOT APPLY IN JURISDICTIONS WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.
Applicable Law
Unless the laws of your jurisdiction require that the laws of that jurisdiction apply, the law applicable to the interpretation and construction of these Terms and Conditions shall be the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein without regard to principles of conflict of laws and you agree that all matters relating to your use of the Gift Cards, including all disputes, will be governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. To the extent permitted by applicable law, all proceedings relating to use of the Gift Cards or these Terms and Conditions shall be brought only in the courts of the Province of British Columbia and you and Nordstrom do hereby consent to the jurisdiction and venue of such courts.
General Terms
We reserve the right to make changes to these Terms at any time and will provide notice of such changes if or as required by law. If any of these conditions shall be deemed invalid, void or for any reason unenforceable, that condition shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining condition.
